Japanese-Style Ceramic Pasta Bowls, Set of 2

A pair of 20 cm ceramic bowls with an underglaze pattern, each holding about 1.2 litres. That is the size for a real bowl of ramen, pasta or soup — broth, noodles and toppings with room left at the rim.

The pattern sits under the glaze, not on top of it, so cutlery and washing don't wear it away.

Why you'll love it

• 1.2 litre capacity — a full meal in one bowl.
• Underglaze pattern — protected, so it doesn't fade.
• Set of two — a matching pair.
• Three patterns — fish, flower and bird, or willow.

Details

• Material: glazed ceramic, underglaze decoration
• Size: 20 cm diameter, about 1200 ml
• Set: 2 bowls
• Ideal for: ramen, pasta, soup, salad

Warm the bowls with hot water before serving ramen or soup. A cold ceramic bowl of this size takes a surprising amount of heat out of the broth.
