Yellow Silicone Cooking Utensils

Silicone cooking utensils in a warm yellow, sold as individual pieces so you can buy the ones you actually use. Silicone is the material to have next to a non-stick pan: it's soft enough not to scratch the coating and it doesn't melt against a hot edge the way nylon does.

Each piece is moulded with rounded edges and no seams, so there is nowhere for food to collect. The colour is a practical choice as well as a cheerful one — you can find a yellow spoon in a crowded utensil pot.

Why you'll love it

• Safe on non-stick — soft silicone won't score a coated pan.
• Heat resistant — fine resting against a hot pan.
• Buy by the piece — ladle, spatula, soup spoon, slotted spatula, slotted spoon.
• Smooth and seamless — no joints to trap food.

Details

• Material: silicone
• Options: ladle, spatula, soup spoon, slotted spatula, slotted spoon
• Ideal for: non-stick pans, stir-frying, soups, serving

Each option is a single utensil, not the full set. Tomato and turmeric can tint silicone; a soak in hot water with a little bicarbonate of soda lifts most of it.
