Oval Proofing Basket Cloth Liner

A fitted cloth liner for an oval bread proofing basket, about 25 x 8 cm. A liner sits between the dough and the cane, so a wet dough can't work its way into the gaps and tear when you turn the loaf out.

It also gives a smooth-skinned loaf rather than the ringed pattern of bare cane, and it is far easier to wash than the basket itself.

Why you'll love it

• Stops sticking — dough releases cleanly onto the tray.
• Elastic edge — stays put over the rim of the basket.
• Washable — keeps the basket itself clean and dry.
• Smooth crust — for when you want to score your own pattern.

Details

• Material: cloth with elasticated edge
• Fits: oval proofing baskets, about 25 x 8 cm
• Quantity: 1 liner (basket not included)

Dust the liner generously with rice flour before the dough goes in. It absorbs less moisture than wheat flour and is what stops a wet dough sticking.
