Over-Sink Colander

A stainless steel mesh colander with telescopic handles that pull out to rest on either side of the sink. It hangs over the bowl instead of sitting in it, so food drains freely and never touches the bottom of the sink.

With the colander bridging the sink, both hands are free: wash salad under the tap, tip a pan of pasta into it, or leave berries to drip dry while you get on with something else. The handles slide back in for storage, so it takes no more cupboard space than an ordinary basket.

Why you'll love it

• Sits across the sink — drains above the bowl, not in it.
• Telescopic handles — adjust to the width of your sink.
• Fine steel mesh — drains fast and holds small food.
• Hands free — no holding a colander while you pour.
