Ceramic Coffee Mug with Wooden Handle

A ceramic mug with a wooden handle, sold as one or two sets. The combination is practical as well as good-looking: wood conducts heat far more slowly than ceramic, so the handle stays cool when the body of the mug is too hot to hold.

It's the detail that fixes the everyday annoyance of a small ceramic handle that heats through within a minute of pouring.

Why you'll love it

• Handle stays cool — wood doesn't conduct heat the way ceramic does.
• Ceramic body — keeps the drink hot, adds no flavour.
• One or two — a single mug or a pair.
• Warm materials — wood and glaze together.

Hand wash. A wooden handle in a dishwasher will dry out, discolour and eventually work loose from the fixing.
